A Steinway piano is the center of Mezzrow, a small West Village club built around hearing the instrument at close range.
Opened in 2014, the venue took inspiration from Bradley's. Pianists lead much of the program, with vocalists and guitarists also appearing in the intimate setting.
SmallsLIVE operates the club alongside nearby Smalls and records performances for its archive. The paired venues offer different ways to hear the same broader jazz community.
