Upper West Side, in Manhattan
Beacon Theatre
Concert Hall · 2124 Broadway
It opened on Christmas Eve 1929 and seats close to 2,900, which is why the comics who play here are the ones who can fill a theater on the name alone.
MSG Entertainment operates it, and the programming reflects that reach: concerts, comedy and podcast recordings all get dates, often booked as single stops on national tours.
The theater fronts Broadway a few blocks north of Lincoln Center, with the box office on the avenue and concession stands off the lobby. It is the largest venue on this list that treats stand-up as a headline act.
