East Village, in Manhattan
East Village Stand Up Comedy
Comedy Club · 174 E 2nd St
Stand-up inside a working East Village barbershop, with roughly forty seats, secret lineups and folding chairs set among the barber stations.
The series began in 2016 as Live at the Barbershop and still uses the functioning shop at 174 East 2nd Street as its New York base.
Shows are short, lineup-driven and intentionally underground in scale, with the barbershop doing more to define the setting than any club decor could.
