Open since 1986, Stand Up NY started on the Upper West Side and now plays Times Square, filing its dates at Bond 45 on West 46th Street.
It has spent close to four decades presenting New York comics, and the pitch has always been the same: a stage where people working now share a bill with people about to be. The interior is done up more formally than most clubs of this size.
The move downtown is not reflected everywhere. The structured data on the club's own site still lists the old West 78th Street address, which is why some listings and maps still send people to the Upper West Side.
