Park Slope, in Brooklyn
Union Hall
Basement Stage · 702 Union St
Two indoor bocce courts and a library upstairs, a comedy and music stage one flight down. The Park Slope bar was converted out of a warehouse.
The whole thing runs to about 5,000 square feet holding a bar, a restaurant and the performance space. The stage sits on the basement level and has its own full bar, so you are not climbing back up between sets.
Upstairs there are fireplaces and garden seating, which is most of why people who are not there for a show turn up anyway. A valid physical ID is required at every event, and lineups are posted headliner first.
