Gowanus, in Brooklyn
Public Records
Listening Bar · 233 Butler St
Public Records puts live music and DJs inside a former ASPCA headquarters in Gowanus, with a plant nursery among its performance settings.
The Butler Street complex includes a restaurant, a vegan cafe and an upstairs listening lounge. Plant-based food runs through the operation, making a meal part of the same address.
The program ranges from experimental concerts to dance parties and listening sessions. Individual events use different parts of the property, so check which space appears on the ticket.
