Midtown West, in Manhattan
Sony Hall
Live Music Venue · 235 W 46th St
Sony Hall keeps the decorative character of the old Diamond Horseshoe while putting a broad concert program beneath its starburst ceiling.
The space opened as the Diamond Horseshoe in 1938. It became Sony Hall in March 2018, retaining much of the earlier interior.
The Midtown West venue accommodates both standing and seated shows, with a restaurant and bar. Its distributed speaker system is part of a newer technical layer inside the older setting.
