A full Jewish deli on Calabasas Road doing pastrami, matzo ball soup, lox and a breakfast that starts at 8am. It is a counter and tables, bright, with a bakery case and a case of salads, and it is the only place on this stretch that feeds you at eight in the morning. Portions are deli-sized, meaning one sandwich is dinner.
Mon to Thu, 8am to 8pm. Fri and Sat, 8am to 9pm. Sun, 8am to 8pm
A sushi bar on the Old Town strip with a long sake list and kushiyaki off the grill as well as the usual rolls and sashimi. It splits the day, noon to 2:30pm and then from 5pm, running to 10:30pm on weeknights and 11pm on Friday and Saturday. You can sit at the bar without booking. Valet and street parking.
