A family-run Cuban place in a North Redondo strip on Inglewood Avenue, going more than thirty years on the same recipes. Ropa vieja, lechon and plantains, a full bar doing mojitos, and a band on weekend nights that turns the floor into a dance floor. It is busy and loud and nobody is dressed up.
Mon to Sat, 10:30am to 9:30pm. Sun, 10:30am to 9pm
A fish market on the Redondo boardwalk since 1953, where you pick what you want out of the ice and they steam or fry it while you wait. You carry the tray to a picnic table on the deck over the water and eat it with plastic forks. Crab, shrimp cocktails and oysters alongside fish and chips. The gulls know exactly what they are doing.
Mon to Thu, 10:30am to 8pm. Fri to Sun, 9:30am to 8pm, with a 9pm close on Saturday
