A queer neighborhood bar open on Sunset since 1996, with a happy hour that starts at 4pm and a back bar with a dance floor that opens later in the evening. No cover most nights.
Daily, 4pm to 2am
Opened in December 2005 in the old Le Bar, later Le Barcito, which was a Latino gay bar on this corner for years. The theme is Tijuana souvenir shop: thatched ceiling, sombreros, blacklight paintings, drag queen portraits and oversized black booths. There is a photo booth and a foosball table. A separate Cha Cha Lounge has run in Seattle since 1998 under the same brand.
5pm to 2am every day.
Ted Mandekic and Edward Pagliano opened this in 1959 as an Olde English pub and turned it German in 1963. It has been in the Mattis family since. Beer comes in one-liter boots and Mass krugs, servers wear dirndls, and there is live music and a piano on the lower floor. The draw for most people is the biergarten patio upstairs.
Open to 2am every night. Opening is either noon on weekdays and 11am on the weekend, or 11am daily depending on which listing you read. Happy hour is reported Monday to Friday noon to 5pm.
