A small diner on Sunset dating to 1926, with a counter and a handful of tables. Breakfast runs all day and the kitchen closes mid-afternoon.
Daily, 8am to 3pm
A family has run this corner stand at Sunset and Lucile since 1981. Its own menu leads with chilaquiles, which tells you what the morning crowd is there for, and the rest is fish and shrimp tacos, wet burritos and menudo. It is a painted walk-up with seating out back.
Monday to Saturday 7am to 9pm, Sunday 7am to 4pm.
The site of a February 1967 demonstration against a police raid on a gay bar, more than two years before Stonewall. It is Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument 939 and became California Historical Landmark 1063 in 2022, the first state landmark recognizing California's LGBTQ history. It trades today as a neighborhood bar and restaurant at Sunset Junction.
