Three-floor market with mariachi
A market on First Street, open since 1968, with produce and butchers on the ground floor, stalls selling boots and records in the middle, and a floor at the top given over to restaurants where mariachi and norteño groups play to the tables. You pay by the song or you sit near someone who is paying. People call it El Mercadito and they mean the top floor.
Daily, roughly 10am to 8pm, with the upstairs restaurants and music running latest on Fri to Sun
