Heritage Square Museum
Open-air history museum

Eight Victorian-era structures that were moved here from around Los Angeles to keep them from being demolished, set on a lot beside the Arroyo Seco Parkway. Guided tours run hourly in the afternoon and admission is seven dollars for adults.

Sat and Sun 11am to 5pm, tours at noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. Closed weekdays. Adults seven dollars, tickets sold in person

Mexican restaurant

Rogelio Fonseca and his parents opened this on North Figueroa in 1969 and it has stayed in the family. The outside carries murals by the artist Leo Limon and the inside still has the wood panelling and burgundy booths. The adobada is pork shoulder marinated for more than a week in red chile and paprika.

Wed to Sat 8am to 5:30pm. Sun 8am to 2:30pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday
