Brisket, ribs, tri-tip, sides, served on trays. Going early is not a preference here, it is the whole strategy, which fits an afternoon screening better than an evening one.

Eighth & RailA bar in a building that has been on this corner since 1878, a block off Main by the old rail line. The food is panini-style sandwiches built on naan, which is an odd thing to find in a bar and is the thing people order. It keeps the latest hours in Old Town Newhall, which in a valley where most of the strip is dark by ten makes it the only real answer to a film that ends at 10:30pm.
