Beer, micheladas, the game on, and the full Salvadoran menu from the restaurant it shares a wall with, so pupusas and sopa de res arrive at the bar if you want them. It is a neighborhood bar with a Salvadoran crowd and no pretense about what it is.

HMS BountyA dark bar on the ground floor of the 1924 Gaylord apartment building, fitted out with portholes and ship's wheels since 1962. The food is chops, steaks and shrimp cocktail on the same menu it has been running for decades. It sat directly across Wilshire from the Ambassador Hotel and picked up that crowd when the Cocoanut Grove was still working.
