Before
Benton Museum of Art at Pomona CollegePomona College's art museum, on Bonita at the north edge of Claremont Village, and free to anybody who walks in. The galleries rotate through the college collection and visiting shows, and they stay open until eight on Thursdays, which is unusual for a campus museum. On the first Saturday of the month the hours stretch for the Claremont Art Walk.

The Back AbbeyA dark space off Oberlin Avenue built around Belgian beer, with the abbey ales and lambics on a board and a burger that the regulars order without looking. The bar runs down one side and there is a patio out front. Friday and Saturday run to eleven, which in Claremont counts as late.
