Coffee CommissaryA counter in the strip at Fairfax and Melrose, opening at 6:30am and running to 6pm every day. Espresso, drip and pastries, with a patio out front that people sit on for an hour at a time. It is the longest daily window of any coffee on this stretch of Fairfax.

Formosa CafeThe bar runs through a Pacific Electric Red Car trolley built around 1904, parked here in 1925 as the Red Post Cafe and renamed Formosa in 1939. It closed at the end of 2016 and the 1933 Group spent roughly two and a half million dollars putting it back, reopening in June 2019.
