Shape The Night
Before
The BroadEli and Edythe Broad's collection in a perforated concrete shell on Grand Avenue, open since 2015. General admission is free, and the third floor holds the postwar and contemporary work the collection is known for. Thursday through Saturday it stays open until 8pm.

After
Redwood Bar & GrillPortholes and rigging turn this Second Street bar into a ship. A small stage books local bands most nights. The address was a newspaper hangout for decades before the current owners took it over and committed to the theme in 2006. Food runs until late.
