DTLA: Bunker Hill, in Central L.A.

Dorothy Chandler Pavilion

Theater · 135 N Grand Ave

Official siteDirections

The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion is the first and largest of the Music Center's four venues, with one of the biggest stages in the country.

It opened as the Memorial Pavilion and was renamed by the LA County Board of Supervisors for Dorothy Buffum Chandler. It housed the LA Phil for decades and the Academy Awards from 1969 to 1999.

It is now home to LA Opera and to Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at The Music Center, so the calendar alternates between opera and dance.
