The Nutcracker 2026

Before

short ride recommended · 3 min - Claremont

Eighty-six acres north of the Claremont Colleges planted entirely with California natives, which makes it the largest garden in the state devoted to them. The collections run past twenty-two thousand plants, some of them rare or endangered, and the paths are wide and mostly flat. It closes at five, so this is a daytime stop and a long one if you let it be.

After

short ride recommended · 3 min - Claremont

A dark space off Oberlin Avenue built around Belgian beer, with the abbey ales and lambics on a board and a burger that the regulars order without looking. The bar runs down one side and there is a patio out front. Friday and Saturday run to eleven, which in Claremont counts as late.
