Some Crust BakeryA bakery on Yale Avenue that dates itself to 1916 and has been the Claremont Village's morning counter ever since, with bread, pastry, a short breakfast and lunch menu and coffee to take out onto the sidewalk. The line at eight in the morning is students and faculty in roughly equal measure. It shuts early, at one on Monday and two on Sunday.

Bert & Rocky's Cream CompanyAn ice cream counter on Yale Avenue with a candy case at the front and a line that runs out onto the sidewalk on a warm evening. They make their own and the waffle cones get pressed where you can see them. It opens at noon and runs to nine most nights and ten on Friday and Saturday, which makes it the Village's default after-show stop.
