Shape The Night
Before
MAK Center at the Schindler HouseRudolph Schindler built this for himself in 1921 and 1922 on Kings Road, and it is the house most of Southern California modernism is descended from. It now runs as the MAK Center for Art and Architecture, with contemporary shows installed in the house and its courtyards rather than in a gallery built for the purpose.

Formosa CafeThe bar runs through a Pacific Electric Red Car trolley built around 1904, parked here in 1925 as the Red Post Cafe and renamed Formosa in 1939. It closed at the end of 2016 and the 1933 Group spent roughly two and a half million dollars putting it back, reopening in June 2019.
