Tito's TacosA window on Washington Place that has been selling the same hard-shell taco since 1959, with unmelted cheddar over shredded beef. L.A. Taco's own write-up calls it a Los Angeles roadside legend and singles out the dark, smoky red sauce. You order outside and eat at a picnic table.

The Cinema BarCulver City's oldest bar, opened in 1947, and small enough that its own regulars call it the world's smallest honky-tonk. There is live country, roots and blues most nights with no cover. The stage is a corner of the floor.
