Goose came up through the jam circuit and earned an unusually devoted following by treating improvisation as composition rather than filler. The playing is clean and patient. A groove may spend twelve minutes changing shape without losing the thread. Two sets and no opener give the band time to let one passage develop into the next. The Truth crowd will include people tracking the setlist in real time and people who wandered in; by the second set the distinction stops mattering.
