Madison
Dee's Country Cocktail Lounge
Honky Tonk · 102 E Palestine Ave
Amy found a decaying old beer joint in then-undiscovered Madison: plywood floors, tucked in back behind a donut shop and a sex toy store. She kept everything that made it weird.
Margo Price and Elizabeth Cook were early regulars. Frozen drinks, Frito pie, 70s country lounge. Fri and Sat till 3am. The best bar in Madison, and one of the best in the city.
The live music calendar has grown. Roots, country, and Americana acts that fit the unhurried pace of the place. This is what a Nashville neighborhood bar looks like when it gets it exactly right.
