King Cole Bar
Drinks

Maxfield Parrish's Old King Cole was commissioned for the Knickerbocker on 42nd Street and moved here in 1932. Fernand Petiot mixed the drink he called the Red Snapper behind this bar in 1934, because the name Bloody Mary was thought too coarse for the address. Doors at 4pm.

Established in 1884, and the reason it still looks like 1884 is that the owner would not sell. A 47-story tower went up around it in the late 1960s and the original building lost its top two floors rather than the whole thing. Buddy Holly proposed to his fiancee here in 1958.
