Joyce Kilmer Park
Outside
A long strip of park along the Grand Concourse above 161st Street, with the Lorelei Fountain at its southern end. The fountain is a marble memorial to Heinrich Heine that Ernst Herter finished in 1893, was turned down by Düsseldorf, got bought by German-Americans in New York instead and was dedicated here in July 1899. It was vandalised almost immediately and restored again in 1999. There are benches, chess tables and a view straight down the Concourse.
Open 6am to 1am daily, the standard NYC Parks schedule. Parks does not post hours for this park specifically
