Cortex w/ Adrian Younge & J.Rocc
Monday, October 12, 2026 · 6:00 PM · Knockdown Center, Queens
The Read
Troupeau Bleu sold almost nothing in 1975 and then became one of the most sampled French records in hip-hop. The band re-formed to play it. Younge and J.Rocc on the same bill makes the lineage explicit rather than leaving it to the liner notes.
The Venue
Knockdown Center
52-19 Flushing Ave
Knockdown Center turns a former door factory in Maspeth into a concert and art complex, with enough space for festivals to take different forms.

6:00 PM · Cortex w/ Adrian Younge & J.Rocc
After
Pearl's Social & Billy ClubA small corner bar on St Nicholas that has been the default Bushwick meeting point since 2011. Draft beer and cocktails come in mason jars. Board games sit behind the bar, and a DJ plays some nights. The 2pm open is the useful part.
