Maspeth, in Queens
Knockdown Center
Warehouse · 52-19 Flushing Ave
Knockdown Center turns a former door factory in Maspeth into a concert and art complex, with enough space for festivals to take different forms.
Its name comes from a door-frame design manufactured on the property. Exhibitions are part of that history as much as music, including work developed for the building's industrial spaces.
The main hall and atrium host live acts and electronic events, while an outdoor area adds another setting. The Outline series has moved between these spaces for jazz, experimental music and other bills.
