La Parrillada ColombianaA Colombian grill on Metropolitan doing paisa platters, arepas and grilled meat, with a bar attached. It opens at 9am and runs to 11pm. On this stretch of Metropolitan that combination does not exist anywhere else.

O'Neill's MaspethOpen on 53rd Drive since December 5, 1933 and owned by the same family the whole time. The front is a long bar and the back is a dining space of booths doing steaks, oysters and shrimp alongside standard bar food. Saturday brunch is the thing the kitchen makes noise about. The bar runs to one in the morning most nights and to half past three on Friday and Saturday, which makes it the only thing in Maspeth still open after a late show.
