Before
Cooper ParkSix and a half acres on the site of Peter Cooper's glue works, which his descendants sold to the city in 1895. A 2012 rebuild put in turf, a concrete skate park and a quarter-mile jogging loop. The dog run sits in the southwest corner at Sharon Street and Morgan Avenue.

The Anchored InnA dive on Waterbury Street with pool, a tented back patio and a kitchen doing Mexican-leaning pub food. Loud guitars on the stereo and art covering the walls. It opens at noon and runs to 4am from Thursday through Sunday.
