Manhattanville CoffeeOpen on Edgecombe Avenue since 2014, pulling Intelligentsia and pouring Kilogram tea, with pastries brought in from local bakers each morning. It sits at the foot of the Sugar Hill bluff where Edgecombe meets 141st. People work here for hours and nobody hurries them.

Yankee TavernA bar on East 161st that opened in 1927, the same year as the original Stadium across the street, and has been feeding and watering the same crowd since. It is a long wood bar with televisions and photographs everywhere. The menu starts with wings and burgers. Sandwiches fill out the rest. On game days it is packed solid and there is a line on the sidewalk. On any other day you walk in and sit down.
