A Neapolitan pizzeria on the Halsey and Lewis corner, fitted out with salvaged furniture and mismatched chairs. It opened in 2009, before this stretch had much else on it, and the wood oven is still the point. There is a garden at the back when the weather allows.

A cheap neighborhood bar on Bedford Avenue that is open from noon until four in the morning every day of the week. It is run by the people behind Skinny Dennis and Lucky Dog in Williamsburg. Dogs are welcome and the drinks are priced accordingly.
