Locanda Vini e OliiCatherine and Francois Louy took a Clinton Hill pharmacy that had traded since 1894 and turned it into a Tuscan restaurant in January 2001, keeping the original wood fittings and the apothecary drawers. The kitchen makes its own pasta. This is a sit-down dinner rather than something you grab.

Do or DiveA cheap neighborhood bar on Bedford Avenue that is open from noon until four in the morning every day of the week. It is run by the people behind Skinny Dennis and Lucky Dog in Williamsburg. Dogs are welcome and the drinks are priced accordingly.
