Shape The Night
Before
The Colgate Clock and the waterfront walkwayA fifty-foot octagonal clock face standing on its own at the foot of Essex Street, left behind when Colgate pulled its soap works out of Jersey City in 1985 after a hundred and forty-one years. The Hudson River Waterfront Walkway runs past it on a paved path, with lower Manhattan across the water. The clock was put up in 1924 and moved to this spot when the factory came down.
7:30 PM · Scorsese and The Stones
After
Lucky 7 TavernA small dark bar on the corner of Second and Coles, a few blocks off the plaza and away from the newer buildings. There is a jukebox, a short beer list and wings, with DJs playing records on some nights. Tuesday is a singer-songwriter showcase at 8pm, so the bar sometimes has a bill of its own.
