Paulus Hook, in New Jersey
Monty Hall
Music Hall · 43 Montgomery St
Monty Hall brings WFMU's independent-radio sensibility to a small live stage in the station's Jersey City building.
The freeform broadcaster opened the ground-floor venue in 2014. Its Montgomery Street location puts the performances in Paulus Hook, within the same operation that sends music out over the air.
Independent music is central to the calendar, with the scale keeping the event close to the audience. The connection to a working radio station gives the bookings their particular context.
