The Margaret Slovak Quartet: "For the Moment" Vinyl Album Release!

Before

0.1 mi · 2 min walk - Prospect Heights

A ramen shop on Vanderbilt Avenue opened by cooks who came out of Morimoto's kitchen, doing four or five broths and a plate of kale salad that people order out of habit. No bookings. You give your name and stand outside or at the counter until a stool opens.

After

Long walk · 0.6 mi · 12 min walk; 2 min ride - Prospect Heights

A beer bar on Washington Avenue with a long back yard that dogs are welcome in and a draft list in the high teens. Nobody is working the door and nobody is checking a list. It is the kind of place where the same people are there on a Tuesday at six and a Saturday at ten.
