Shape The Night

Before

Harlem Hops

short ride recommended · 3 min - Harlem

Kevin Bradford, Kim Harris and Stacey Lee opened this in June 2018 and it was the first entirely Black-owned craft beer bar in Harlem. The taps lean local and the place is small enough that you end up talking to whoever is next to you. It sits directly across Adam Clayton Powell from the Shrine.

After

Malecon

short ride recommended · 6 min - Washington Heights

This opened on the corner at 175th Street in 1987 and was one of the first Dominican restaurants in Washington Heights. The rotisserie chicken is what everyone orders and it comes with rice, beans and the garlic sauce. It faces the United Palace across Broadway.
