Comedy In Harlem

Comedy Club · 750A St Nicholas Ave

Official site Directions

It opened on St. Nicholas Avenue in Sugar Hill in October 2021 and describes itself as the only Black-owned comedy club in New York City.

The pitch is that you should not have to go downtown to see stand-up, and the booking backs that up with full bills rather than one-off open mics. Uptown had very little of this before it opened.

Local television picked it up early, with segments on CBS 2 and Good Day New York, and the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce has recognized it. The stated goal is bringing the arts back into the neighborhood.
