Marsha P. Johnson State ParkSeven acres of lawn on the East River at the foot of North 8th Street, on the site of the old Brooklyn Eastern District Terminal. It was East River State Park until 2020, when the state renamed it for Marsha P. Johnson. The Manhattan skyline sits directly across the water.

Teddy's Bar & GrillA bar has operated in this 1887 corner building for most of the time since, and the Peter Doelger Brewing glass over the door is still there. The food is burgers and fish and chips at a price that has not chased the neighborhood. Closed Mondays, which catches people out.
