FrogA natural wine bar five doors from Loudmouth on Marcus Garvey Boulevard, with a free pool table inside and a back garden under one big tree. There is a long communal table out there and a scatter of bistro tables. Jazz plays inside and food pop-ups turn up in the yard.

The NarrowsA narrow bar on Flushing Avenue in what used to be the Pocket Utopia gallery, fitted out with art deco salvage and a back garden. Matt Webber and Keith Cochran opened it in 2010 and the drinks are still built properly. It holds a few dozen people at most.
