Lower East Side, in Manhattan
Bowery Ballroom
Rock Club · 6 Delancey St
Primarily a live-music hall, Bowery Ballroom occasionally makes sense for comedy when a touring comic needs a proper stage rather than a club setup.
The Bowery Ballroom opened in 1998 at 6 Delancey Street. Its regular calendar is dominated by bands and touring musicians, with high ceilings, a mezzanine and a downstairs bar shaping the visit.
Comedy here is the exception, not the house identity. That makes the venue useful for larger one-off stand-up dates while keeping it firmly part of the Lower East Side concert circuit.
