Park Slope, in Brooklyn
Freddy's Bar
Comedy Venue · 627 5th Ave
A Fifth Avenue bar in Brooklyn open from noon until 4am, with a back space running ticketed shows several times a week, burlesque among them.
Because the bar serves all day, the programming sits inside sixteen hours of normal bar trade rather than defining the place. Someone drinking at 3pm and someone holding a ticket are in the same building for different reasons.
Booking goes through the website rather than by calling the bar, and the back space carries a steady enough calendar that most weeks have several shows. It has turned up in national press as a dive bar worth the trip.
