Lower Manhattan's waterfront park turns one of its lawns into a free outdoor cinema during seasonal public programs.
The Battery's 2026 Big Screen program combined movies, World Cup matches, live performances and family activities on the lawn.
That makes film part of a larger civic-event schedule, with the harbor and park carrying as much of the setting as the screen.
