Ridgewood, in Queens

Woodbine

Microcinema · Woodbine St

Official site Directions

A Ridgewood space that opened in January 2014 and took its name from the street it started on, with film programs folded in among everything else it hosts.

The doors first opened at 1882 Woodbine Street, the address the place is named for, and the project has stayed in the same part of Queens since.

A microcinema means one space, chairs set out facing a screen, and programs announced one at a time instead of a standing weekly schedule. What plays depends on who is presenting.
