Tom Koulax opened this walk-up stand on the corner of Beverly and Rampart on May 15, 1946 and it has not closed since. There is no indoor seating, just a counter you stand at and a chili burger wrapped in paper. It marked eighty years in May 2026 by selling the burger for eighty cents.
