North Hollywood, in San Fernando Valley
Playhouse West Comedy
Comedy Venue · 10634 Magnolia Blvd
The Magnolia Boulevard stage of a North Hollywood acting school, where students put up their own plays and original bills, some of them at two in the afternoon.
Plays are in production more or less constantly, and the school runs workshops, film competitions and a yearly film festival around them. The shows billed as originals are written and performed by the people who train there.
The school keeps more than one location, and this is its stage on Magnolia Boulevard, a street lined with small theaters that belong to schools and companies rather than to promoters.
