East Nashville

The 5 Spot

Venue · 1006 Forrest Ave

Official siteDirections

A Five Points bar and venue since 2003. Motown Mondays have been running so long and hit so hard that GQ called it the most stylish party in America.

Travis Collinsworth started as an employee and bought in with Todd Sherwood in 2006. The calendar runs whatever the slot needs: Motown Mondays, Sunday Night Soul, the long-running 80s Dance Party, Patrick Sweany's early-evening Monday blues, and Guthrie Trapp's Wednesday guitar night. No velvet rope, no VIP, cheap drinks, a crowd that treats Five Points like the neighborhood it is.

The 5 Spot became an institution without ever stopping being a corner bar. Walk in without a plan.
