A yakiniku house on the mall's main level with grills set into the tables, where the meat arrives raw and you cook it yourself. The all-you-can-eat menu runs in tiers, and the top one carries A5 wagyu the chef cuts by hand. Sushi and sake come off the same order sheet. This is the only Gyuzo.

A kosher burger counter on the fourth level of Palisades Center, near the Target entrance, under OU Glatt supervision. Burgers come piled with toppings, and the rest of the board runs to fries and shakes. Rockland County has a large observant population and this counter serves it, which is why it is closed all day Friday and Saturday.

A bagel counter on Route 59 that opens at five in the morning and runs a deli alongside the boards, egg sandwiches early and hero sandwiches through lunch. Most of the trade is takeout and the line moves. There are a handful of tables if you want to stay.

A family-run breakfast and lunch cafe in a house dating to the late 1700s, on Strawtown Road a few doors from 1840 Tavern. It opened in 2017 and cooks continental plates from family recipes. Beer and wine now come out alongside the coffee. It closes at three in the afternoon.
Tue to Sun, 8am to 3pm. Closed Mon
A taqueria at the Nyack end of Route 59 making tacos and burritos to order, open eleven to ten every day of the week. Most of the trade is takeout and the counter moves quickly. Prices are low and the portions are not small.
