Historic Filipinotown, in Central L.A.
2220 Arts + Archives
Arts Space · 2220 Beverly Blvd
A volunteer-run cultural center in Historic Filipinotown where about a dozen independent programmers and nonprofits share a single calendar of film, music and readings.
The programming team is a list of long-running Los Angeles projects, among them Acropolis Cinema, LA Filmforum, Poetic Research Bureau and Wild Up, with guest programmers rotating in from season to season.
Many events in the archives, including readings, talks and screenings, are free and all ages, and ticketed shows in the theater and front lounge are kept between ten and thirty dollars. The stated mission is non-commercial and experimental work.
